A Special Thank you performance to All Markham Essential Workers

by Anni, about 2 months ago

Dikran Garabedian is an autistic young man who is exceptionally talented in music. We, his parents recognized his talents very early on when he was only five years old. Dikran showed interest in the keyboard and to our astonishment he began playing music without having taken any lessons. Dikran was born in Markham and has lived here all his life. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Elementary School and then went on to graduate from Brother Andre Catholic High School.

We would like to show our appreciation to all the front line workers during Covid19 for their dedication, long working hours... Continue reading

Warm Wishes for Bobby At Participation House

by Ben Cohen, 2 months ago

I’m really humbled by all the recognition this is receiving. When Jonny and I first came up with this it was really a way to offer support to such a great friend and individual who has always shown such love and affection for everyone around him. It’s the least we could do. Bobby clearly has had such a profound affect on so many so it was beautiful to see the support from so many in the Markham community.

For those of you who do not know Bobby, he is a resident at Participation House and was infected with COVID-19 in... Continue reading

    by MFreethy, 3 months ago

Came across a great tweet earlier this week by Markham-based health & safety goods + services company, Rescue 7. They purchased and delivered dinner for all Markham & Stouffville Fire Stations last weekend. Dinner courtesy of the Duchess in Markham on Main Street Markham. Great way to support local business & express gratitude to frontline workers! #MarkhamProud

In this stressful time due to covid 19

I am offering public a free hand made Jewelry making workshop, including wire wrapping through email and messenger

Creativity plays a significant role in everyone’s life. As a result we have a drive to learn, experiment and take risk and be positive. We challenge ourselves, read, take pictures, teach and share our work ideas.

Jewelry making is very therapeutic, when we make something we feel so proud as we have put our heart and soul in it.

I have been to George Brown college to learn the techniques of making jewelry and... Continue reading
