Engagement Summary

In order to make this a reality, the City of Markham is developing a set of Age-Friendly Design Guidelines to help make Markham an age-friendly city.

During the development of these guidelines, the the project team engaged with staff, council, key stakeholders and members of the community to get a better understanding of the daily needs of residents, and current barriers and opportunities for age-friendly design in the community.

Over 638 stakeholders and members of the public were reached/engaged during phase 2 and 3 of the process through interviews, workshops, meetings, public events and online engagement tools hosted on the City’s ‘YourVoiceMarkham’ engagement platform.
