The City of Markham boasts more than 350 scenic parks and open spaces for residents to enjoy. Our parks provide beautiful places for the community to enjoy the outdoors.

Parks are important spaces for our community and experience a lot of wear and tear as they are enjoyed. The City is always looking out for items that require repair or replacement.

Upgrades to parks fall under the following sections:

• Tennis and basketball court rebuilds (asphalt, acrylic surfacing, amenities, and fencing)
• Playground replacements
• Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) updates in existing playgrounds
• Baseball fencing replacement
• Shade structure replacements and refurbishments
• New features

Proposed disc hiking course

A public meeting was held on June 15 to discuss the proposed disc golf course at Milne Dam Conservation Park. A lot of meaningful feedback was received from community members regarding the proposal.
