The City of Markham boasts more than 350 scenic parks and open spaces for residents to enjoy. Our parks provide beautiful places for the community to enjoy the outdoors.

Parks are important spaces for our community and experience a lot of wear and tear as they are enjoyed. The City is always looking out for items that require repair or replacement.

Upgrades to parks fall under the following sections:

  • Tennis and basketball court rebuilds (asphalt, acrylic surfacing, amenities, and fencing)
  • Playground replacements
  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) updates in existing playgrounds
  • Baseball fencing replacement
  • Shade structure replacements and refurbishments
  • New features

Please see the panel to the right or below to find out more information about construction activities in your local park. Visit our Park Development page for information on New Park Consultations.

If you're not sure which ward your park is in, use the Markham Wards Map to find it.
