What: Special Development Services Committee Meeting

When: April 14th, 2025, from 1 to 4 PM

Where: Markham Civic Centre (Council Chamber) 

The purpose of this Special DSC meeting is to provide a more detailed breakdown of the Interim Report for the Yonge Corridor Secondary Plan Study, in response to the adopted resolution of Markham City Council on January 28, 2025.

Note: The meeting will be conducted as a workshop for Council, and as such, deputations will not be heard at this session.

There will be opportunities for members of the public and other stakeholders to participate at an upcoming Community Information Meeting to be scheduled, and at future Development Services Committee meetings on the Yonge Corridor Secondary Plan Study.

Members of the public are encouraged to observe the meeting proceedings via the livestream or by attending in-person at the Civic Centre in the Council Chamber.

On January 27, 2025, the City will bring forward the Interim Report for the Yonge Corridor Secondary Plan Study Area.  The Interim Report outlines existing conditions, introduces emerging directions and concepts, and presents preliminary demonstration massing.  As a next step, staff will be consulting with the public and stakeholders on the Interim Report and Emerging Concept.
