The City of Markham has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study on Elgin Mills Road from Woodbine Avenue to McCowan Road.

The Study is being conducted in accordance with the planning and design process for Schedule 'C' projects, as outlined in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process.

As part of the Future Urban Area Conceptual Master Plan, the City has completed Phase 1 (Identify the Problem/Opportunity) and Phase 2 (Identify Alternative Solutions and Establish the Preferred Solution) of the MCEA process for Elgin Mills Road within the Future Urban Area (FUA) boundary.
