Learn and Fun in Markham Centre

Hello, I’m Jessica. I was born and raised in Milliken and still live there with my parents and sister. I’m a student at Bill Crothers Secondary School, so as you may have guessed, fitness is really important to me. I take the VIVA Green to school most mornings but walk when it’s really nice out. I’m excited for York U to open their campus nearby – I’m applying to go to York U next fall and hope that my program is offered in Markham.

Markham Centre has given me a lot of different things to do. You’ll find me working out at the YMCA most afternoons after school. I also frequent spots like Aroma and Me-Va-Me for their delicious food, although I do wish there were more food selections within walking distance to my school. I’m really glad this new area has given us stuff to do closer to home. Ribfest, music nights, Hockeyville – you name it and my friends and I will be there!
