‘Micromobility’ refers to lightweight and low-speed vehicles such as E-Bikes and E-Scooters. These devices can be privately owned and operated or can be part of a shared fleet of vehicles that provide mobility options within a community.

Micromobility Usage in Markham

Bikeshare and E-Scooter share systems are currently available in over 40 cities across Canada and are often referred to as “shared micromobility”. These programs allow the public to rent or borrow bikes, E-Bikes, or E-Scooters for short-term use. Markham currently offers a shared E-Scooter and E-Bike program that is available in Downtown Markham.
